We Are All Individuals - 6 months ago

I decided to give this a try as my sash windows are very draughty and it's difficult and expensive to heat my rooms. I live in rented so can't get them professionally draught proofed.

This film is a bit of a fiddle to fit but with patience it is achievable and it is virtually invisible. The results are much better than I'd hoped. No more draughts from my old windows! The difference is really noticeable. The house is more comfortable, condensation is greatly reduced and I wish I'd done it in October instead of leaving it until the end of January.

The other reviews are really negative so I don't know what went wrong but I would say it is definitely worth a try. I'll be fitting it every winter I'm in this property.

I've used Stormguard for many years, it's always been easy to put up ans stayed in place (and taught) until I took it down in the spring. This product is a really poor replacement! The tape is just not sticky enough to hold itself in place - as soon as I used the hairdryer to tighten it, it lifted from the position. I couldn't get it taught at all - because, as I discovered, it was full of gaps. Added to that there are streaks and folds which make it not transparent. An awful cheap and shoddy product. B&Q can I have my money back please? And how about compensating me for the waste of time and energy? :-(
