Dulux Chic shadow Matt Emulsion paint 5L
This emulsion paint is suitable for and covers 13 m² per litre on average.
- Surface preparation:Remove loose or flaking material. Make sure the surface is clean (no dirt or grease) and dry. Ensure all holes and cracks are filled using filler
- Apply 2 coats with a brush or roller, leave 2-4 hours between coats. Do not apply in very damp or humid conditions or extreme temperatures. TIP: if the colour change is strong, more coats may be required. If you use more than one can, mix them together in a large container or finish in a corner before starting a new can
Features and Benefits
At B&Q we want you to be satisfied with your colour selection. Not all monitors will display colours the same and paint tins may not show the same colour as your walls do in natural light. We therefore recommend you order a tester pot online or pop in store to pick one up so you are sure that this is the right colour for you.
- Dulux matt is a smooth and creamy emulsion paint for use on walls and ceilings
- Ideal for a modern, flat finish
- Chromalock technology adds value to the product
- The colour will not fade

A perfect proper shade of gey

Just had my lounge painted in this colour and it is perfect. No hues of blue or lilac. Really happy. Ps make sure you buy matchpots before you spend out on a large tin so you can try before you buy. Going for goose down for my hall stairs and landing.
Truly terrible paint

If you're looking at the price and thinking, ooh Dulux and it's the same price as the unbranded or own-brand stuff, have a think why.
This is truly the worst paint I have ever used. It's normal emulsion, but open the tin and you can turn it upside down and the paint won't come out. It goes on thick, it goes on uneven, it dries inconsistently and the coverage is nowhere near what is stated.
I have a non-porous smooth newly plastered wall with three layers of white and it perfect. I had the exact same in my other room and used the Valspar colour match and that went on beautifully. Also in the same room I had B&Q Colours on a feature wall and that went on like a dream too.
So, if I were you, if you like the colour, get a match and use anything but this.
There's a reason why it's cheap, and it's probably also linked to the fact that ICI no longer own Dulux.
Truly awful stuff.
As for the colour, it looks nice, but what they seem to have done is used shiny paper and shiny ink for their samples making the colour not quite what you get for matt. Why they can't match the finish with the actual finish like every other supplier with paper samples, i do not know.
The right shade of grey

Painted my hallway & landing almost year ago. Used chic shadow and white mist. Perfect combo. It didnt make my hallway look dark or cold
Both more on bluey side of grey rather than brown if that makes sense. Then last weekend painted downstairs wc in same colours, chic shadow being the feature wall.
Lovely paint to work with. Only needed one coat on magnolia wall. Though we did two coverage.
Lovely colour great coverage.

Lovely colour used in my hallway and stairs. Hallways always been white this colour still makes it feel light and airy. Coverage is great even after the first coat. 5L has covered my hallway and still half a tub left to do another coat. Very pleased with this product.
Trendy grey teamed with yellow
