Good little fire

The order was delivered quite quickly. And for the price, delivered a very good output. A good price for a basic little fire that does the job well.
Good Fire, Tatty Front
ReasonableSouthLondon - 7 years ago
Fire burns well, and gives off reasonable heat. Despite the instructions, insufficent coals are provided and even following the guidelines, gas flames rise above the coals. Further coals greatly improve both looks and performance.
Black front actually is and looks like cheap pressed steel. It ruins totally the appearance of the fire. If you have an existing cast iron fron, hang onto it and re-use.
Pleased with product

I bought this to replace an old fire tray. Once fitted the fire tray has a nice flame and gives off a good heat. Unfortunately, what lets the product down is the fire front and ashpan cover which although described as 'cast' are flimsy and very cheap looking. However, this didn't bother me as I refurbished my own solid cast iron front and cover and the fire looks great but would not have looked so good with the product front and cover supplied.
