How to fit ceiling lights

A standard single pendant light fitting near the centre of the ceiling can sometimes leave a lot to be desired. As long as you can get to the ceiling void from above without too much disruption, it's not complicated to move a light to wherever you really need it. Alternatively, you can boost your light levels by adding extra pendants which you operate either by the existing switch or by a new one. You'll find that pre-wired lampholder-plus-flex combinations are widely available.

It also gives off a decent amount of light which is often not the case with more architectural fittings. Easy enough to fit. The only downside was that bulbs were not supplied.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Stary47 from Love the effect Not the easiest light bulbs to change, the glass is extremely fragile. We've already had one disintegrate and cause a few cuts. However, a replacement was easy to obtain, and I really do love the shape.

Rated 3 out of 5 by RogerPO from How do you clean? We have had the light installed over the summer during which a number of small black flies have got into the globe via the air hole. It seems there is no way to get them out which is spoiling a new and otherwise good item!!

When trying to attach the glass globed to the arm the glass shattered a few times as the brackets do not hold the globe in place. The few that stayed on fell off when the producer was turned up the correct way.
