Very, very poor design!

Bought B&Q gloss white worktop to redo our utility room - it has a nice edge of white with a grey stripe. Realised I'd need edging strip for an exposed end and the only gloss white edging strip on the website showed an image that was solid white - so bought a roll of white and a roll of grey thinking I'd have to reproduce the design myself. Then when they turn up, the white one is grey & white already! B&Q refunded the grey one easily enough.
Went to fit it and discovered it's 4mm wider than the worktop - and to get the stripes to line up you have to trim both edges!! It's really tough plastic and a Stanley knife only gets through it with a lot of work and leaving a ragged edge. I'm going to have to set up my circular saw to trim edging tape neatly!! It also comes very tightly rolled and the piece I've cut won't stick on the worktop like that. I've had it sat under my very heavy toolbox for five days to try and flatten it out and that's only reduced the curl slightly. I now have it tightly curled the other way round and taped together to try and get it somewhat flat so I can glue it on easily. Come on, B&Q! Cutting and attaching a bit of worktop edging strip should not be this difficult! The grey and white design is lovely, but I'd rather have just plain white in an easy to apply product than go through all this hassle. Please review your design and make your edging strip more user-friendly!!!
