Adequate backflow prevention must be included as part of the installation of this tap. For example by fitting non-return valves on the water supply pipes.
It is important that supply pipes are flushed before connecting the tap to ensure no pipe or plumbing debris enters the tap
If a combination boiler is installed turn off the boiler before starting work.
Isolate the hot and cold water supply as close to the tap connections as possible.

Love these taps. We had previously bought a pair of these with matching bath taps for the bathroom and decided to get some for the basin in the shower room. Really nice taps and excellent value.

A brilliant replacement
I was originally looking for replacement tap washers but after talking with the kitchen chap to ask where they were and how many times could a tap be reset for a new washer, my good lady spotted these and other taps on display. Any way proceeded to locate said tap washers in the plumbing isle, but none could be found. So back to the display to buy replacement taps for our bathroom sink and to be honest they look well smart as opposed to our old taps that were fitted in 1983 The chrome finish is so bright and shiny and look really good when I fitted them and they are nothing like our old taps in the way you turn them on, gone are the days when one has to turn the tap several times to increase the flow of water these new ones does it in half a turn and off in the reverse turn so much more precise plus so much better and easy to fit as they are a straight replacement.

Cheap - Worth the money
Bought these as our old taps were leaking. Wasn't worth taking apart as they were old and corroded through lime scale.
