I've bought several bags, some have been full of rubbish and plastic while others would have been 5 *. Works better in the garden in pops rather than with seeds as it can grow mold.

I bought this believing it to be repackaged verge compost. It’s not and it’s nowhere near as good. It’s full of fluff. Everywhere I’ve used it fungus and mould starts growing. Many seeds have grown a white hairy mould on and rotted before germinating. This stuff is awful.

Great for the flower beds

bought a bag yesterday ready to grow cutting and seeds and do hanging baskets and it is full of roots and bark etc shredded bits and hardly any compost and it looks strange like it is infested with bugs, waste if time and fuel to get it, should have used a proper garden centre but was in a rush to do them, do not waste your money buying this

I have bought this product twice over the past 6 months to pot some indoor plants and outdoor plants and I after watching the same pattern twice I am certain this soil is not suitable for growing anything other than rage and anger towards the swarms of fungus gnats that hatch from this soil.

I was horrified and have spent long hours and wasted lots of money trying to eradicate this fungus gnats infestation that certainly came from this soil as on two occasions using the soil I watched only days later hundreds of fly's emerging from the soil after I thoroughly cleaned my flat and changed all the pots yet they still returned from this soil. Not even nematodes could combat the AMOUNT of eggs that this putrid soil was riddled with.
Not only was it riddled with fungus gnat eggs but also harboured the harmful springtails which were in such a high number they ate the roots of my plants in turn killing them
This has killed all my houseplants.
I am devastated. The war against these pests still continues, I have been working throughout the whole pandemic and getting rid of these pests have occupied the rest of my time. Waste of time. Don't trust any plant products B and Q sells, stick to selling overpriced wood and tiles, leave the horticulture for garden centres who have practical knowledge in this field.
I will not be purchasing B and Q's over priced low quality horticultural and plant range product and possibly not return to the store again. Technology exists for screening for pests in soil and unless you want to turn your house into a dank tropical bug filled microclimate then read the label and check it has been screened according to EU or UK body regulations such as that guaranteed y the RHS.

I left a review as opposed to trying to claim as I have heard such abysmal things about B and Q's complaint service that I do not wish to invite more pests into my life and feel the need to simply tell prospective customers of my experience.
