A lovely stylish light
Lace maker - 11 days ago
The reviews for this light were not great, but I went ahead with buying it anyway. I am so pleased I did. It was easy to assemble with good pictorial instructions. A listed alum key was missing but not a problem. I bought extra light bulbs which were not needed as these were included. A great lamp for my sewing etc
Looks good and stylish

Had to wait a long time for stock.
Looks good and very bright so the dimmer function very useful.
The only downside is the way the instructions are written. Not very logical and confusing. Some parts won't fit where shown and the little grub screw has no where to go. Having put flat pack stuff together before these are hopeless.
Tough to Assemble

Bought one today, got it home and out of the box. It needs two people to put it together.
It's in bits with the cable running through it, so not easy to manoeuvre.
B & Q had three for sale, all had been opened and put back in box. Our first one had a cross threaded nut and would not go together. Had to go back 30 miles to exchange it!!. Second one has a slight scratch on the shade. After all the hassle, we decided to live with it.
However the light looks good, and I will be really happy if the LED's last the five years they promise.
bulb doesn't fit

Bought this for my wife as the flexible smaller light would be good for reading by, which it is. However, at the same time I also bought an R7s bulb for the uplighter - which turned out to be the wrong size. It needs to be a J118R7s and I bought J78R7s, so my fault. But I had already taken the bulb ( one of three ) out of the sealed packet - which you can't do without destroying it. So, money down the pan. Today I went back to buy the correct size. Great - except it doesn't fit into the holder. It's slightly too long. The diagram shows the bulb is to be fitted by putting one end in against the contact then sliding the other end down onto the other contact. No can do. The contact holders don't move or slide so there is no way this will fit. More money down the pan. If you want to buy this lamp as an ornament, fine. If you want it as an adjustable reading lamp, OK. But if you want it to be fully functional - forget it.
