Seriously...at least sell right dimensions
ProSplinterRemover - 5 days ago
Bought varying sizes of ply sheets over last couple of weeks to make mobile stands in ahem ‘workshop’(garage). Went through almost 30 boards to find least warped panel. For some reason decided to check it’s size. Sold as 18 x 610 x 1220....purchased 16.5 x 603 x 1226. Quality seems to be lacking at all points from manufacturing to selling/storage...stack it high, sell it overpriced.
OK for Sheeting but nothing else

Ply lining workshop walls and this is OK as the sheets are going up without being cut. Problem is when they are cut the laminate starts to peel off and the ply sheets have large voids without any glue so no use for anything else

Bought this sheeting to use on a model railway baseboard. Cuts well either with a plunge saw or hand saw. Fairly clean edges that only need a file and glass paper to finish off. No delamination.
Being sold as 5mm but actually 3.6

Bought as 5mm but measured when I got home and it's 3.6 had to go with it as no time to return. The quality is awful and you can buy the same depth elsewhere that is much sturdier.

I was ply lining a van and got most of the wood from another diy chain but ended up a bit short and got my final piece from b&q for convenience. I was surprised how noticeable the difference in quality was between the two products of equal thickness and similar price. Using the other ply was a breeze but as soon as I started to cut the b&q ply it splintered and started to disintegrate around the edges. B&q is great for some things but I was really disappointed in this product and wouldn't buy ply from here again.
