We bought this a bout 6 months ago and am so pleased we did. Yes I know it's a tad(!) more expensive than a kettle but it's so convenient.. and I'm sure we have reduced our electricity bills by not boiling more water than we need to make tea/coffee.But tbh it's more than worth it for the ease of instant hot water for drinks. (The kettle's hidden away in a cupboard) I might add that we hardly use the cold tap..just goes to show how little cold water we drink! When we previously had a cold water filter tap it was used all the time..to fill up the kettle, which then had to be boiled :-) Due to safety, the boiling water lever has to be held whilst using ..you can't leave it running like you can with the cold lever. I didn't fit it but a friend did and it seemed straight forward..I didn't hear any grumbling :-) It's due for a new water filter - .which is quite expensive..my advice is, check the internet for some deals. I did wonder whether we should've just got the hot tap model but it looks like cost was similar..so not really worth it. Just hope it lasts longer than some previous peoples reviews have commented...be aware to change the filter regularly ..is what I can glean.

Instant boiling water at any time and filtered cold water.
Consigned the kettle to the garage. Simple to fit and takes up a very small space at the back of the cupboard.
Works perfectly for a very reasonable price

My previous boiling tap by Franke blew up after many years use. They are not made any more so I was delighted to find this tap at a very good price.
Very easy to install and great to get rid of the kettle again. Constant boiling water on tap and filtered cold water.
The only gripe was the ridiculous delivery date of nearly 3 weeks! . I called the delivery line and it was delivered in a week. Still too long.
This tap is excellent for coffee and tea
