Nowhere near sharp enough to penetrate thin wood

I bought this for my Toolzilla stapler. I had previously used their staples of the same size. They fit in the staple gun fine, but are useless for recovering some kitchen chairs. They bend, or will just not penetrate the wood that the previous staples had easily gone into.
