Waste of time and money

Bought this to save having to saw so much, but it is so rough and only mange’s to punch through cross wise, with a lot of effort.
Total waste of money.
Great time saver

Great for quickly doing straight cuts to shorten boards. It actually punches through the laminate, not a normal “cut” so the cut like is quite thick but it’s quick and easy. Leaves a slightly rough edge but you’ll only use it for edges which should go under skirting board / scotia in any case. Saves a lot of time rather than using the jigsaw / circular saw, although you’ll still need those for doing cuts alone the length of a plank or doing tricky shapes. Overall great time saver and glad i bought this.
Reasonable DIY tool

Done whole my laminate flooring with it. Not so messy as cutting with a jigsaw. Does not give a straight cut. Though gets covered by the trim. Always curves a bit. Some force needed to get through the laminate. Useless for cutting lengthwise.
Useless with a jigsaw - 2 months ago
Bought this despite the reviews, laminate 7mm thick and tool worked a treat, the orange rest for the laminate was flimsy and broke when slight pressure applied to it but tool saved lots of mess
The blade is just a lump of metal

Firstly the blade isn’t even sharp!! You have to virtually swing on it to cut through the laminate. The blade is just a lump of metal without a sharpened edge!! It just cuts through the laminate with effort, but leaves a rough unsightly edge. Not suitable for cutting laminate length ways , it just doesn’t stay put.
