never mind me - 1 year ago

spent 7 hours putting this together making sure every nut and bolt and every post is in perfect position and that it is perfectly square, also spent time sealing between the greenhouse frame and the base to make sure no water seeps in. next day after a night of rain i go down to find the greenhouse full of water, after testing i find it leeks in the holes around the bottom frame and the base corners

Shocking

I read the reviews and researched but the polycarbonate is just Easter egg wrapping it’s so thin, it pops out constantly and the noise is embarrassing, good job we don’t sleep at the back of the house, at £315 it wasn’t cheap, I wish I could have returned it as soon as I opened the box so disappointed

Rubbish

Slightest wind inside and the panels pop off, it also creaks and groans so is very noisy at night. During storm Ciara the metal twisted making it unusable..... waste of money

Sturdy base with well machines parts. Some parts fiddly but instructions good and all put up in 3-4 hours.

Polycarbonate exceptionally clear. Looking forward to growing season ahead.

I must say that the first thing that I was impressed with was the Delivery from B & Q.
I ordered it one day and it turned up the very next day!
I had almost completed the base for the greenhouse and just wanted to confirm with the item that the size was as stated. So put together the metal base and it confirmed it was as advertised. I would add that I used patio slabs on concrete which ensured it would be level.
After fixing the base I proceeded with putting it together and I would say that the drawings supplied were excellent. Being a keen DIYer it helped and it went together very well and I did manage it on my own, although there were moments that I could have done with the wife’s help, but resisted the temptation!
It did take me the best part of a day to construct as it became a bit windy which made things a bit challenging. However it has been up a few weeks now and so far no problems.
Just keen to get on with growing some tomatoes and cucumbers next year!
