• Keep your sofa looking great by vacuuming it once a week on a low setting using the upholstery attachment of your vacuum cleaner. Because the fabric is made of natural fibres the colour may vary slightly. Velvet can have a distinct appearance, in natural light it tends to shimmer more, whereas in artificial lighting indoors, it tends to look more subdued. The colour of velvet may change if you stroke it in different directions, to maintain consistency, stroke the velvet in one direction with an open palm. Don't forget to give the cushions a good fluff every once in a while by giving them a good whack. It helps to keep their shape and stay comfy for us to sit on.
