I don’t know about one coat with the black , had to do more than one .. neutral my mistake was I bought three tubs ... the coverage is good I only used half a tub ... so I have enough to last me a couple of years ... looks great tho
Covers Really Well

I have just painted a section of my stables that were damaged.
I needed ONE coat to have it looking like the rest.
In fact, I now need to paint the whole stable block as it made them look shabby!
So another job on the list!
Not great

I’ve had to do 3 coats on my fence, although I am painting over Cedar Red, it’s never ending! Just can’t seem to get Cuprinol black paint
Doesn’t cover

Bought the black to go over a very washed out shade of cedar, it looks terrible, not black at all.
Doesn't do what it says on the tin..!!

It is taking 3 coats to get a decent coverage. Not happy as I have 12 new fence panels to paint and it is taking forever.
