Ronseal Ultimate Protection Decking Paint transforms all types and ages of decking, filling in small cracks and covering grey wood. Providing all weather and UV protection, this decking paint locks down splinters and smooths rough surfaces. To be used on all ridged or smooth hardwood and softwood decking. Apply 2 coats using a suitable brush or decking pad. It covers 10m² on ridged boards, or 12m² on smooth planed boards, is rainproof in 30 minutes, ready for the next coat in 4 hours and ready to walk on after 48 hours.

• Surface Preparation - Before you start, choose a warm, dry day (above 10°C) and clear everything off the deck. You’ll need to give your decking a good scrub with a deck brush. This will remove dirt, loose bits of wood and any loose coatings. Then hose it down thoroughly, or better still, give it a blast with a jet wash. You need to get rid of all the dirt, if you don’t the paint won’t stick to your wood. To get the best result use Ronseal Decking Cleaner & Reviver – This will make the paint stick better and last longer. Let your deck dry fully before painting.
• Instructions for Use - Give the paint a good stir, it’s best to use something wide like an old wooden spoon. Check you’re happy with the colour. Find a hidden part of the deck and try it. Get lots of paint on your brush. Start in the furthest corner, brushing along the length of the boards. Work on 3-4 boards at a time so you don’t get any overlap marks. If your deck has got small cracks, brush in extra paint until they’re filled. You’ll need to put on 2 coats. Leave 4 hours between each coat. After 48 hours you’ll be able to get your furniture out and use the deck. If you get any paint on yourself, wash it off with warm soapy water.
