I needed some railings for a low wall that was being built in order to repair some front door steps to my house. Through out the repair process, several unexpected problems showed up that made the total cost of works being undertaken soar to almost four times the estamate. I had to save on building costs and decided to put in a cheaper rail as a temporary measure till I could afford to commision permanent railings. I saw the railings and other designs on the B&Q web site and liked the over all look of it. After consoltation with my builder I reserved and collected the railings all in the space of less than 14 hrs.
My builder said that it was extemely easy to put up the railings as all fixings was supplied. Railings went up and was fixed in minutes.
The railings look great and will stand out very nicely once the brick work had been rendered and painted white. I don't think I need to bother with expensive bespoke railings any more.
I had not started getting quotes for bespoke railings yet, but I am sure that I have saved a bundle. Realy handy after cost unexpectedly got so out of hand.
