But worried about how long it will last
GBM - 10 months ago
Bought 2 packs, it was easy to use and mostly worked. I t looks good when dried but does leave a gritty residue on the slab surface however hard you sweep it. My only issue is that I did two paved areas and on a small part of one area the grout is already rising/coming out of the joint. This is only a couple of weeks after doing the job so I’m a bit pessimistic about the durability over the winter. I don’t understand why a section is coming out but I’m going to buy another tub and redo the failed bits and hope it lasts.
Good Product With a Few Caveats

My patio is Indian Sandstone and some areas required repointing after cleaning with a pressure washer. As an amateur DIYer, I find it difficult to use mortar mix to repair pointing without getting it all over the slabs so this product caught my eye. It has the consistency of slightly sticky sand that dries hard within a few hours. It can be brushed straight from the tub into the gaps between the slabs and then compacted lightly to finish the job. There was no sign of any staining on the slabs themselves. It started to harden after an hour and was fully hard within a day or two.
There are a few caveats to bear in mind. The end result does not appear to be as strong as a mortar mix and I suspect it would not withstand harsh jetting in the future. Secondly, you have to work reasonably quickly as it starts to set after an hour or so. However, there are two separate sealed bags in the tub so you can still have regular tea breaks! Finally, our patio is now very “gritty” despite regular sweeping but hopefully that will go when it has rained a few times.
Overall, this is a good product. Admittedly, it is a bit pricey but it could save you hours of work. More detailed instructions on how to use this product are included in a leaflet inside the tub.
