Do not buy this stuff - it is destroying natural and rare peat bogs, which are used in this product. Just go for the cheaper multipurpose, it has 0% peat and works just as well.

Very poor and destructive

I bought this for some seedlings, and at the time there was a shortage of compost so I. Ought it without reading the reviews or looking at its composition.
The seedlings did very badly. It seems heavy and easily prone to fungus.
But also cannot believe this is 100%peat! Shame on you B &Q! Destroying the planet for no purpose.

Buy this at your peril

100% peat! By purchasing this compost you are actively releasing CO2 (as the peat decomposes) and contributing to catastrophic climate change. Peatland is also a threatened wildlife habitat - mining peat bogs destroys them and the threatened wildlife that they support.

It grows seeds well. Sweet peas tomatoes runner'

It's made up completely of fibre, if you sieved it there would be nothing left. Useless for seed sowing. Taking it back.
