Mattock is master of stumps
Trombone_Stu - 6 months ago
Bought this to get rid of some pesky conifer stumps from my garden, the fight was over very quickly with this Mattock. Great product at a nice price
Made short work of a Leylandii stump !

I was expecting hours of back-breaking work but finished this in my lunch hour with this beauty. The blades are reasonably sharp and a good swing cuts through roots in a jiffy. Just watch for the blades working loose and dropping on your head as you lift it to swing it. Also watch for the double glazing behind you or your £23 of fun will work out very costly indeed :)
The tool for the job

Mattock? Lots of people didn't know what I was talking about, and I think some products were labelled 'pickaxe'. So I had to look around to find this, but for clearing out roots it's been invaluable. And it's going to continue to be useful in the garden.
Value for Money?

Bought the Verve Mattock at £23 as I needed two and there was only one of the non branded £9 Mattock in stock, and guess what the only difference between the two apart from £14 is the Verve one has the name on it. No difference in quality or materials.
