Works for me

Did not see the negative reviews. Glad I did not because I have found it excellent for precise cutting of 10 inch wide Luxury Vinyl Flooring. Care is necessary because the plastic straight edge is vulnerable to damage which will significantly effect accuracy. No problem with the metal coating but even if it deteriorates over time it has already paid for itself saving much time and energy on one job.
Unfit for purpose

Its marketed as a square. Its anything but. 2mm out of square over the length of the blade.
Painted on markings comes off

I bought this and had it just under 3 weeks. It had little use in that time and was stored in a dry clean place.
Despite this, the silver paint started flaking off along the edges, making it no longer straight and then I noticed the numbers too were flaking. This would not be problem perhaps if the actual metal was engraved but that is not the case. Returned it yesterday, flakes and all.

I bought this a couple of months ago but found that it wasn't square when I used it so I checked it out. The steel frame is square but the plastic attachment on the short edge has a bow in it causing it to misread. Very unhappy as I cant trust it. I will be taking it back even though I no longer have the receipt
NOT SQUARE !
