Our raised bed is made from natural Fir wood so is strong as well as reasonably light in weight. Measuring a generous 122cm by 18cm deep, it is easily screwed together (fixings are included) and solid once constructed. The wood has been treated with a clear preservative. A green 130 gsm polyethylene waterproof cover completes the kit - the perfect accessory for helping preserve your raised bed during the colder months.
Other benefits from growing in raised beds include protection from pests such as slugs and snails, as well as reduced competition for water and light from other plants
