Christmas cleaning tips
Clean your cutlery
Over time, cutlery can lose it's shine and become tarnished, but with little to no effort you can get your knives and forks looking brand new again. It's time to get buffing...
Cleaning stainless steel cutlery:
Clean with hot water and washing up liquid to remove any food remnants, then hand dry with a clean cloth. Next, get a damp cloth and add a few drops of vinegar. Buff your cutlery in circular motions and rinse with warm water. Hand dry again with a clean cloth – make sure you do this quickly so that your cutlery doesn’t get any natural drying marks.
Cleaning silver cutlery:
First, rinse any food remains with hot soapy water and dry with a soft cloth. Use a specialist silver polish to remove tarnishes, then rinse in warm water and buff dry in a circular motion.
When you spend countless days in your living room, it’s easy to turn a blind eye to dusty blinds or shelves. Just because you don’t notice them anymore - doesn’t mean your guests won't! Roll up your sleeves and use our telescopic dusting brush to get to all those hard-to-reach and forgotten about spots. Our microfibre dusting glove is ideal for cleaning large and small surfaces. It doesn’t need any additional chemicals, and with it’s convenient shape you can quickly and easily trap dirt and moisture.
Revive grout and sealant
Dirty grout and sealant can stand out like a sore thumb in your kitchen and bathroom. Bring grouting back to life with a grout cleaner and an old toothbrush - apply the product and scrub until clean. If the dirt won’t budge, a grout pen will cover up stains that no amount of scrubbing can shift. Don't forget about the sealant around your bath or shower, as it can quickly become mouldy. Combat the build-up of gunk with a mould and mildew remover.
Deep clean your carpet
A great opportunity to tackle any stains and get your carpet looking, and feeling, as good as new. We have a selection of carpet cleaners and fresheners that will clean and deodorise your floor. If you don’t have time to clean the whole carpet but want to get rid of some stains around the home, use a stain remover. We have a variety of different products that tackle different spillages, from candle wax and resin to egg white, coffee and red wine.
Make your windows sparkle
Chances are that you’ll be decorating your windows with fairy lights and placing festive ornaments on your windowsill. So, the last thing you want is to draw attention to a grubby window covered in finger marks. Our window vacuums suck up moisture and leave surfaces shiny and streak-free. For a cheaper option, use our window squeegee to keep the inside and outside of your windows gleaming. No need for cleaning products, simply dampen the microfibre mitt with water before using and rinse well to clean after use.
Clear out your fridge
Have a clear out and get rid of any lurking out-of-date products. This will give you extra space for all the food you’ll have to stock in your fridge over the Christmas period. After you’ve emptied your fridge, give it a clean with our hygienic fridge cleaner – perfect for thoroughly cleaning the inside and outside of your fridge without leaving any streak marks.
Scrub your oven
Now is the perfect time to deep clean your oven. Get rid of all that greasy grime, as well as all those burnt bits of food stuck at the bottom of the door. Use one of our kitchen and oven cleaners to degrease your oven, grill and hob. A dirty oven can have an impact on the taste of your cooked food, so once your oven is spick and span, you can whip up a Christmas dinner that doesn’t have a smoky aftertaste…
