  • Spend £1,000 for 1 year; £2,500 for 2 years; £4,500 for 3 years and £6,500 for 4 years

For us to consider your application, you’ll need to meet the following criteria;

  • Minimum age 18 at date of application
  • Maximum age 85 (at the end of the agreement), unless the term is no more than 12 months (in which case there is no maximum age limit)
  • Been living in a UK residence for the last 3 years minimum
  • Have a bank account which supports Direct Debit. The bank account must be in the name of the applicant, and they must be the only signatory required to authorise a Direct Debit
  • Employment status:
    • Employed full time (16hrs+ per/week)
    • Employed part time (up to 16hrs per week)
    • Self employed
    • Retired
    • In receipt of Disability Allowance
    • Homemaker
  • Have a mobile telephone number
  • Have a valid email address ​​​​​​
  • Have an individual gross income of £10,000 or more (or a joint income if married/living with partner/in civil partnership)

You can apply for credit at B&Q with one of our colleagues in store. They will be able to explain the credit options we offer and will take information from you in order to complete a credit application. You will be advised there and then whether your application has been successful.

  • Proof of ID, such as a valid UK driving licence or passport
  • Proof of address

When do my repayments start?

Payments start approximately 1 month after the date of the agreement

Can I make bigger repayments or pay off my loan earlier than agreed?

Yes, you can repay the credit early at any time in full or partially

Can I cancel if I change my mind before the first repayment?

Yes, there is a 14-day cooling off period, where you have the right to cancel the agreement

Will you check my credit file?

Yes. In order to process your application, credit and identity checks will be performed on you with one or more credit reference agencies

How can I make a complaint about my credit agreement with B&Q or the goods I have purchased with it?
