Are there certain restrictions on products that can't be paid for with a gift card?
Gift cards can’t be used as payment for products sold and shipped by verified sellers on diy.com. (i.e. flagged as ‘Sold and shipped by [seller name]’).
Can I use my B&Q gift card when I shop on diy.com?
B&Q gift cards can be used as full or part payment for any products purchased from B&Q stores in the UK (except concessions and cafes in B&Q stores) or on our website.
A gift card can't be used for purchases from B&Q call centres or in B&Q stores outside of the UK, including B&Q stores in Jersey or Guernsey and Republic of Ireland.
Gift cards cannot be used as payment for items sold by verified sellers(i.e. flagged as ‘ ‘Sold and shipped by [seller name]’).
I'm shopping on diy.com. Can I part-pay with a B&Q gift card and use another payment method to pay the balance?
If your purchase total is greater than the value on your B&Q gift card, you can use your gift card and then pay the outstanding balance using your debit or credit card.

B&Q gift cards can be ordered for delivery to your home, B&Q e-Gift cards are delivered within seconds by email.

How do I buy a B&Q gift card?
B&Q gift cards can be bought online or in store. Visit our Gift Cards page to order a gift card to be delivered by post, or a e-Gift card which can be sent by email. You can even order an e-Gift card to be delivered at a certain date and time to your chosen recipient.
Do I have to use my full gift card balance in one transaction?
You don’t need to spend your full gift card balance at once. You can pay using a gift card online or in store, and any remaining balance will remain available for future purchases at www.diy.com or at any of our UK stores.
What type of gift card can be used on diy.com?
B&Q gift cards and B&Q e-gift card loaded with credit in Pounds Sterling (£) can be used when shopping on diy.com.
We're currently unable to accept gift cards loaded with Euros (€), B&Q Decorating Cards and selected Corporate Gift Cards online. If you're not sure, check the back of your gift card - card numbers beginning 50450756655 can't be redeemed online.
How long will my gift card or e-Gift card be valid for?
A gift card will expire and any remaining value will be removed if the gift card is not used to make a purchase, top-up or balance enquiry during any period of five consecutive years
How much money can be loaded on a gift card?
You can load up to £1000 onto any gift card you purchase in store.
A gift card bought online can be loaded with up to £250, but if you’d like to load more you can phone the gift card team on 0371 200 2144 who will be more than happy to help.
I have old design gift card that I can't see in store or online anymore. Can I still use it?
Yes! Just please bear in mind that a gift card will expire and any remaining value will be removed if it is not used to make a purchase, top-up or balance enquiry during any period of five consecutive years.
Can I get a refund on my gift card?
The value on a gift card can't be exchanged for cash or refunded. Where B&Q agrees to provide a refund for products purchased using a gift card, the amount of the purchase price paid using that gift card will be reimbursed by way of a credit note for use in B&Q stores in the UK.
I think some of the value on my e-gift card has been used by someone else. What can I do?
Please keep the gift card or e-gift card safe and treat it like cash. B&Q does not collect and store personal information on the holders of gift cards or e-gift card and therefore, if a gift card or e-gift card is used without the consent of the gift card holder, or is lost, stolen or damaged, B&Q will not replace or reimburse the value on the gift card.
